Who gets the benefits?

Currently you, your spouse and your eligible dependent children qualify* for insured benefits if you meet one of the following criteria:

  2. you are receiving a pension based on at least 10 years of continuous employment and have some credit in the OPSEU Pension Plan for at least some part of each of those 10 years.

Please note that these insured benefits are provided by the Government of Ontario, and are not administered by the OPSEU Pension Plan.

*Eligibility for coverage under the group insured benefit plans for eligible Ontario government retirees, is subject to the policy terms and conditions in effect when you retire.
