Calculating your OPTrust pensionYour basic annual OPTrust
pension is calculated using the following formula:

times your best five-year average annual salary
times your years of credit in the Plan
minus CPP integration (a reduction at age 65) |
CPP Integration
At age 65, your OPTrust pension will be reduced for CPP integration.
This reflects the lower contributions you pay to the OPSEU Pension Plan
on the portion of your salary for which you also contribute to CPP. The
reduction for CPP integration applies to all OPTrust pensions, whether
you retire with an unreduced or reduced pension.
