Introduction
Member and Pensioner Services Department
OPTrust’s Member and Pensioner Services department is divided into four separate functions:
  • Member and Pensioner Services Teams
  • Data Management Group
  • Production Control and Quality Assurance

As an employer, your primary contacts (link on the right side of each Employer Manual page) are our Member and Pensioner Services Teams and our Data Management Group.

Member and Pensioner Services

Our Member and Pensioner Services staff is responsible for:
  • Inquiries regarding specific entitlement to a pension benefit (including an application for a benefit)
  • Member inquiries
  • Issues regarding Plan administration and Plan policy
  • Assisting employers
As part of our client-focused service model, OPTrust managers and benefits specialists with each Member and Pensioner Services Team have been assigned as primary contacts for employer representatives with specific ministries or agencies. If the manager or benefits specialist assigned to your organization is not available, please contact another manager or benefits specialist.

Data Management Group

The Data Management Group is responsible for maintaining the integrity of all member pension related data. This includes responsibility for:
  • Data interface with CORPAY:
    • Biweekly contribution upload
    • Biweekly data upload
    • Buyback contribution deductions (OPS)
  • Data transfers from non-CORPAY employers
  • Data issues involving:
    • Salary confirmation
    • Work record issues
    • Employee contributions
    • Pension adjustment confirmations
