Effective January 1, 2010 premiums paid by pensioners for vision & hearing coverage will be eliminated. The employer will pay the full premium for this coverage. For any applications that have already been sent to OPTrust for pensions starting in January 2010, the coverage will be included if the pensioner is eligible for insured benefits.
When completing the Great-West Life insured benefits application for eligible retiring members, please remember to include the vision and hearing coverage.
