OPTrust's real estate portfolio includes Canadian office, retail, industrial and multi-residential properties owned directly by the Plan as well as investments in Canadian and foreign pooled real estate funds. At December 31, 2007, the net value of our real estate portfolio was $992 million.
Real estate investments with a cost or fair value exceeding one percent of the total fund at December 31, 2007 included one pooled fund: GWL Realty Advisors - The Canadian Real Estate Investment Fund #1.

Private Markets
OPTrust’s private market investments include private equity and infrastructure portfolios.
At December 31, 2007, OPTrust’s private market holdings included eight private equity investments and four infrastructure investments in North America and Europe. Of these, seven are fund investments while the remaining five include direct investments and co-investments. The net asset value of these investments was $466 million at year-end.
Private market investments with a cost or fair value exceeding one percent of the total fund at December 31, 2007, included one direct infrastructure investment in Kemble Water Holdings Limited.
