OPTrust launches new online services portalNew platform utilizes JEA's penweb technology to modernize user experience

TORONTO, June 11, 2019 – OPTrust, one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, together with JEA, a leading Canadian pension software company, today announced the launch of a new online services portal for members. The new portal, based on JEA’s PENWEB technology and deployed in partnership with JEA, builds on OPTrust’s commitment to member experience. With the addition of mobile device support for members, PENWEB delivers a modern user experience and a technology base with which new features and functionality will continue to be introduced.

In 2018, OPTrust was ranked in the top six pension plans globally for service according to CEM Benchmarking, with members and retirees rating their service experience with a score of 9.1 out of 10.

OPTrust selected JEA’s PENWEB Member Portal as a solution to deliver online services to members. As a highly flexible application that JEA configures in accordance with each client’s specific requirements, PENWEB allows OPTrust to offer a unique experience for members and employers.

OPTrust has further streamlined the operational approach for online services technology by selecting JEA’s Managed Services delivery option for PENWEB. This approach ensures that service and technology support is provided with the highest degree of operational efficiency, allowing OPTrust’s Member Experience team to continue to deliver world class service.
