Romain joined OPTrust in 2021 and is responsible for co-managing the liquid public markets portfolio to complete the total fund risk exposure and enhance the fund’s risk and return profile.
Prior to joining to OPTrust, Romain spent six years at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, running multi-asset volatility strategies. Previously, he spent a decade on Société Générale’s proprietary trading team, serving as a portfolio manager on the volatility arbitrage desk.
Romain holds an electrical and computer engineering degree from CentraleSupélec in France and a master’s degree in finance from Imperial College in the U.K. He currently serves on the Board of CentraleSupélec Canada.
