OPTrust CEO Hugh O’Reilly recipient of 2016 Industry Leadership Award

TORONTO, Oct. 20, 2016- Benefits Canada announced earlier today that OPTrust President and CEO Hugh O’Reilly was selected as their 2016 Industry Leadership Award recipient.  

The Workplace Benefits Awards recognizes employers who have shown innovation, creativity and real results in areas such as absence management, benefits and pension plan communications, health and wellness programs, and mental health.  

“Today I was recognized with the Industry Leadership Award by Benefits Canada and was honoured to accept on behalf of my colleagues at OPTrust.   It is their efforts - collaborative, innovative and with an unwavering focus on our members -which offered OPTrust the opportunity to be recognized in this way” O’Reilly said. 

Finalists and winners were selected by a panel of external judges from across the industry including Rick Holinshead, Willis Towers Watson; Sarah Beech, Accompass Inc.; Susan Hermann, Desjardins Insurance; Vic Medland, Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan; Dr. Alain Sotto, Medcan; Colin Ripsman, Foyston Gordon & Payne Inc.; Dr. David Satok, Rogers Communications Inc.; Gavin Benjamin, Willis Towers Watson; Lori Landry, Sun Life Global Investments Inc.; Michael Peck, Invesco Canada Ltd.; Anita Lieberman, Desjardins; and Robert Baillie, State Street Canada.
